1918

Vintage Vega Tubaphone No. 8 plectrum open-back banjo dating from 1918. This four-string, long-neck plectrum banjo is fitted with Vega’s celebrated Tubaphone tone-ring system, known for clear projection, strong fundamental tone and rich sustain while retaining the open, lively character of an open-back banjo. The instrument is in good vintage condition and shows wear consistent with its age, including marks, scratches, finish wear and ageing to the wood and metal parts. The banjo appears to have experienced changes or work during its long life, so no claim is made that every component is original to 1918. Offered as a playable vintage Vega Tubaphone plectrum banjo. Buyers are encouraged to assess detailed photographs when available. A hard case is included.
