Vintage Höfner 449 Archtop Acoustic Guitar – Early 1960s – Made in Germany Beautiful vintage Höfner 449 archtop acoustic guitar from the early 1960s. This classic German-made instrument features a traditional sunburst finish, f-holes, floating bridge, and trapeze tailpiece. It has the characteristic Höfner headstock with the decorative treble-clef inlay. The guitar is in good vintage condition and plays very comfortably. It has low action and is easy to play, making it suitable for jazz, blues, folk, or vintage rhythm styles. The tone is warm and woody, typical of Höfner archtop guitars from this period. Cosmetically, the guitar shows normal signs of age consistent with a 60+ year old instrument. There are some surface cracks on the side of the body, but these appear to be superficial finish cracks and do not affect playability or stability.
