Entertainment for Seniors – Live Music, Sing-Alongs and Dancing
Familiar live music for care homes, senior centres and events with Michael Staun: Skipperlaks, Let It Beatles, Black Jacks and the upcoming KINGS OF THE 50s & 60s. Flexible concerts with or without a coffee break.
For me, entertainment for seniors is about much more than playing a concert. It is about creating a warm and enjoyable time filled with familiar melodies, smiles, memories and togetherness. When the audience knows the songs, everyone is welcome to sing along, clap to the beat or even get up and dance.
My name is Michael Staun, and I perform live music for care homes, senior centres, senior associations and private events. My different musical projects make it possible to choose entertainment that suits your audience.
Music everyone knows and can sing along to
A familiar melody can bring back memories of youth, celebrations and dancing. Some people prefer to sit and listen, others sing along, and some feel like dancing. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the music in their own way.

Skipperlaks – sea shanties and sing-alongs
In Skipperlaks, I perform with Phil Nice. Together we entertain with well-known Danish sailors’ songs, humour and sing-alongs. Our repertoire includes Susanne Birgitte og Hanne, Mandalay and Hjemmebrænderiet. We can perform with our own sound system or acoustically, depending on the venue.

Let It Beatles – timeless Beatles classics
With Let It Beatles, I perform Beatles songs with guitar and vocals. Yesterday, Let It Be, Yellow Submarine, Hey Jude and Twist and Shout are songs many people remember and love singing along to. I have performed at a harvest celebration at the Nymosehave care centre in Gentofte, Denmark.

Black Jacks – classic hits and evergreens
Black Jacks is a duo performing familiar evergreens and classic hits in our own arrangements. From warm ballads to swinging melodies, the music invites listeners to relax, sing along or dance.

KINGS OF THE 50s & 60s – an upcoming show
I am also working on KINGS OF THE 50s & 60s, which is planned to be ready during 2027. It will be a musical journey back to the 1950s and 1960s, featuring songs associated with Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Roy Orbison, Little Richard, Bill Haley, The Beatles and Creedence Clearwater Revival.

One continuous concert – or two sets with a coffee break
Every event is different. Some organisers prefer one continuous concert, while others would rather have two musical sets with a coffee break in between. Both are possible. We can agree on the duration, repertoire and breaks to suit your programme and audience.
Sing-alongs, enjoyment and room to dance
The music is an invitation, never an obligation. Everyone is welcome to sing, clap and dance if they wish and are able. Simply listening from your seat is just as welcome.
